Sports Injury Management and Taping is a hands-on course designed for coaches, players, parents, and all sport staff.

Learn how to recognise and respond to common injuries, recognise concussion, reduce injury risk, and apply effective sports taping techniques to support safe participation. Ideal for coaches, teachers, volunteers, and parents. Build the practical confidence to act quickly and appropriately whenever injuries occur, keeping your athletes safe and in the game.

This course is delivered as a total of 3 hours face-to-face. All course materials are provided.

Prerequisites

Participants must hold the following current certifications:

  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)

  • CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)

Participants will engage in both theoretical and practical learning covering:

  • Sporting Injuries

  • Sports Injury Prevention and Participant Care

  • Sports Injury Management in a Physical Activity Environment

  • Concussion Recognition

  • Sports Taping Techniques (ankle, thumb, and finger)

Assessment

Assessment methods include:

  • Demonstration of practical skills

  • Scenario-based role play activities

Certificate
